Yesterday, CNet Reported that Apple had again lost an iPhone prototype in a bar. This time an iPhone 5 prototype.

The prototype was lost in late July at San Francisco’s Cava 22 “tequila lounge”. Maybe got sold later Craiglist for $200. According to their source.

Apple has contacted San Francisco police, Explaining that the device is priceless and that they want to retrieve it desperately. The device was tracked to a a two-floor house in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights.

When San Francisco police and Apple’s investigators visited the house, they spoke with a man in his twenties who acknowledged being at Cava 22 on the night the device went missing. But he denied knowing anything about the phone. The man gave police permission to search the house, and they found nothing, the source said. Before leaving the house, the Apple employees offered the man money for the phone no questions asked, the source said, adding that the man continued to deny he had knowledge of the phone.

No body knows if Apple has retrieved or not.

This not the first time that Apple has lost a prototype

According to a 9to5Mac source, Apple has started training it’s Apple Store employees for iOS 5 and iCloud.

The source also reported that the training is done via the recently launched internal RetailMe application.

Apple usually starts training its employees about two weeks before the launch of the product. This could mean that the iOS 5 may be released sooner than expected. The recent rumors said that iOS 5 is going to be released around mid-to-late-October.

In addition to iOS 5, Apple Store employees have also begun receiving detailed information on Apple’s upcoming iCloud service. Apple originally said iCloud would be launching alongside iOS 5, which is necessary because of iCloud’s full integration into the next-generation iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV operating system.

The new iOS and iCloud service are expected to be released along side the iPhone 5.

Fortune’s Tim Cook profile came at a time when there were some ongoing health concerns about Steve Jobs which raised the question of who would take over upon Jobs’ departure. The Forbes profile describes Cook as “demanding and even-keeled” and credits Cook for keeping Apple running like a finely tuned machine, keeping tabs on supplies, production and product forecasting.

Think of Cook’s contribution like this. There are two basic ways to get great profit margins: Charge high prices or reduce costs. Apple does both. The marketing and design drive consumers wild with desire and make them willing to pay a premium; Cook’s operational savvy keeps costs under control. Thus Apple is a cash-generating machine. Cook has called the company a place that is “entrepreneurial in its nature but with the mother of all balance sheets.”

One ex-Apple employee speaking to PCMag simply states that “Tim Cook is the person who really runs Apple”, but that they don’t see him as “that visionary guy” to replace one of Steve Jobs’ major roles at the company.

It’s that role of visionary that many feel will be hard, if not impossible to replace. Salesforce chief executive Marc Benioff aptly described Jobs ability to show him the future:

“[Steve Jobs] has probably given me more help and more advice than just about anybody,” Benioff said of Jobs. “And when I get in trouble and I kinda get lost in my own vision, I’ve been fortunate to be able to go and see him and he’s been willing to show me the future a couple times.”

The general consensus, of course, is that it’s simply not realistic to expect any one person to replace Steve Jobs. From the same 2008 Fortune article, they point out that Cook will simply need people around him to make up for any weaknesses, just as Jobs had Cook around to make up for his.

Good News for iPad users, Facebook is highly expected to release its Facebook App for iPad on its traditional developer event, aka “f8”.

Every body is expecting the release of the app on September 22nd because we have already discovered the code of this app hidden in side the iPhones’ latest version of the app.

The public version of the App is not expected to be much different than the leaked one. Let’s wait and see.

The Silicon Valley legend, a successful business leader and a brilliant innovator, yes we are talking about Steve Jobs and he has now stepped down as the  chief executive of Apple Inc in a stunning move that ended his 14-year reign at the technology giant he co-founded in a garage. Steve Jobs has now been elected as a chairman of Apple’s board.
While Jobs is no longer the CEO, the company’s former Chief Operating Officer, Tim Cook has replaced Jobs as the CEO and a member of the board, effective immediately. Jobs had submitted his resignation early Wednesday and insisted the board to name Tim Cook as CEO.
