Google goes Parisian Love in Super Bowl XLIV

by Farhan on February 7, 2010

Last Night was the biggest night in American Football and even bigger for advertising industry , with average cost per 30 sec ad coming to USD 3 million , the industry shows their best and the greatest ads which are remembered for years to come .

This year came some surprising news with Pepsi pulling out of Super Bowl due to high costs despite previously having hits featuring Michael Jackson and Britney Spears but this year also brought in Google for the first time in Super Bowl

Google’s Super Bowl Ad the Parisian Love , shows a guy’s starting of Life in Paris  , from going there to study all the way to finding and impressing a girl , getting chocolates  , running a long distance relationship -  Yup advice through Google , to marrying and living in Paris ending with looking for instructions on how to Build a Crib

Impressive ad with strong visuals and too the point and Google even saved on high name actors , showed what they intended to show and showed it well .

The only question which arises is Why Google is advertising in Super Bowl which it never did before

Bing is the answer , Bing right now controls 10.7 % of the Search Market Share while Google is holding at 65.7 % ( source ZDNET) Google wants to create more noise and enhance it’s Mind Share as Bing further goes up , bringing down Yahoo and eventually hitting Google

This is not the only Ad made by Google , Parisan love and other Google Search Stories ads can be seen at  http://www.youtube.com/searchstories
