Nokia 5530 XM – Touch for the Masses

Move away N97 , Nokia 5800 XM now has a touch enabled younger brother to keep company , introducing the Nokia 5530 Xpress Music .

The phone features Symbian Series60 V5 aka Symbian ‘1’ and has evolved over the 5800 XM in terms of software by offering ‘ People Carousel’ i.e scrolling contact bar providing access to 20 contacts with their conversations and media updates including emails , phone call data , photos and social media updates up from 4 being offered on Nokia 5800 and N97  .  Interesting personalised FB updates of all , better than N97

The home screen has further evolved and has one touch shortcuts to Facebook and MySpace taking the phone into N97’s widget category . 

If that’s not enough the phone has a solid steel frame finish , feature 27 hours of playback time , stereo speakers , 4 GB provided card , 2.9 inch screen and Nokia Tangle Free WH-205 headsets. 

Like 5800 XM it also features a POP up media bar so music to photo sharing are available at a touch.

The 5530 XM is expected to be shipped in Q3 09 at a low low price of Euro 199/- 

Will this launch also bring a FW update to 5800 XM – only time will tell
