Nokia Messaging Ate My Emails

by Farhan on September 5, 2009

Just received this email from Nokia

“Dear Nokia Messaging customer,

The Nokia Messaging account you have been enjoying came as part of the purchase of your Nokia phone. According to our records, that phone has been transferred to another person.

Your Nokia Messaging account has been deactivated. Your account is safe – it cannot be accessed by the new owner of your Nokia phone. In addition, you can sign up for a new Nokia Messaging account for use on another Nokia phone. Please visit the Nokia Messaging website (http://email.nokia.com/account) to see a list of Nokia phones that run with Nokia Messaging.

We look forward to serving you again.

Sincerely,
Nokia Messaging team

I had my  Nokia Messaging account since it was in beta stage and never be part of bundled purchase unless they count my E71 on which I primarily use this account .

I cannot delete my old account neither can erase any associated email accounts in it so cannot even make a new account

Have written to Nokia Messaging for assistance , let’s see what happens

Nokia’s after sale services are also becoming poor.I sent a complain e-mail to nokia few days back about not being able to use the ovi mobile site using wap. They called me and said all you have to do is to clear the cache on your mobile’s browser, and you will be able to use the mobile site again.
Tried it ….. and nothing happened..

Hope you get your problem solved

Danish , you are using 5800XM , so why use WAP , why not the basic browser and go to http://www.ovi.mobi , it will work

No you didn’t get it. I used to send the sms containig the link of the application to my cell from the ovi store.I followed the link on my mobile browser. The problem was that even after signing in, ovi didn’t allow me to download any application, instead it took me back to the sign in page,, kind of a loop.

This was only happening when i was using wap.On wi-fi no problem at all.
But from now on, i am gonna use the ovi mobile site directly.
