The folks at Electric Pig in UK have just posted their unboxing pics of Nokia N900 , the first Maemo 5 device and the one I’ve been waiting for

The BOX

Nokia N900 is keeping up with the packaging design they have adopted from Nokia N97 , a recycled grey card box with Nokia N900 silhouette embossed on the top , Nokia N Series and Nokia N900 mentioned .

I personally like the box , although it looks too simple , the box has an executive touch and class to it , what mysteries it hid beneath it a silhouette is shown on the top  .  It’s made with recycled card so also have less impact on the environment 

 

Under The Cover

Lift the lid and you can see the Nokia N900 in it’s full glory , the marketer in me praises the approach , putting the focus on the main highlight , the N900 ,  kept snug in the plastic cavity but the environmentalist in me shudders with horror, why waste so much space on the phone , the plastic tray can be easily replaced with the recycled card ,  more cavities could be added to hold the accessories , going minimalist in design , you decide what you like , within me it’s a battle between odds  

 

   

The Accessories

Nokia has packed the usual array of accessories with N900 , I can see a Video Out Cable ( you may not get it , some accessories are region dependent i.e. some may get it and some may not , depending on price points it’s being sold )

A decent headset with in Ear plugs is visible but it looks like the one they had in N86 8MP  , not the larger ones from N97 and Nokia E72 .  A Cleaning Cloth , a must have and much lost accessory by me ,  and the usual Charger cable and Sync cable .

Now what matters to me the most is to have my hands on this device and use it like never before ( I know I’m getting too passionate about it , trust me I had the option to get either N97 Mini or E72 gratis and I have given up on them  just to get this device when it’s launched in Pakistan )

What are your thoughts about Nokia N900 -  Are you waiting for it or will you bypass it for the rumored Nokia N920 running Maemo 6 do inform in comments
