Nokia Taking the iPad Path – Ready to Fight Back

by Farhan on June 21, 2010

imageThe news is all over the internet , Nokia is following the iPad path and working on 7  or 9 inch Tablet featuring ARM Processor ( hopefully 1 GHZ and above not the useless 600 MHZs they are so fond of putting in everything )  and will run MeeGO ,  the cross between Intel’s Moblin and Nokia’s Maemo OS.

The best part of the news is that FoxConn , the company behind Apple’s iPad and iPhones , is going to manufacture it .

We at SenseApplied are looking forward to Apple’s reaction to that , is FoxConn, after the growing suicidal tendencies among their employees, is thinking about suicide themselves ? Let’s face it how many tablet’s will Nokia move as compared to Apple’s iPhone and iPad will they be able to mimic iPad’s successful launch ? and what will Apple do to them after the annoucement ?

Nokia think so , in a recent interview given to Economic  Times India  , Mr Anssi  Vanjoki – The Executive Vice President ( Markets)  Nokia adds that Nokia is fighting back and it cannot be judged on its performance in just a quarter to two .  ( Source Economic Times India )

He has further added “  I had said last year that product on the MeeGo platform will be out in 18 months “  so the Nokia tablet could be expected to be introduced in Nokia World 2010

We wish best of luck to you Nokia and hope you come up with something equivalent to iPad if not better .

Well, thats what everyone facing a decline will do. I deem that Nokia is immitating apple’s strategies, they are just afraid from apple or their strategies.
