NPR or National Public Radio launched in 1970 consists of more than 880 independent public radio stations spread all over Unites States providing News , Views and Cultural Information to the masses . On the radio almost 27.5 million people hear it each week and now NPR has launched their App for iPhone which makes it’s reach world wide offering realtime news , Live streaming radio broadcast from stations covering every state and more than 90 podcasts a week .
I got hooked to NPR during my studies in University of Michigan ( that’s why the first state I checked out was MI 
) and it helped me a lot in understanding the American culture and get to know the people better while keeping abreast with the latest news and now with the iPhone NPR App , I’m reliving the good ‘ol College days and that’s too for Free ( NPR is available for Free on iTunes )
