At the Mobile World Congress Barcelona , there were a lot of unique phones , Puma Phones powered by Solar Cell , INQ Messaging phones but none were as unique as those phones and concepts at NTT Docomo stall .
One of the phones which caught my attention was the Splitting / Separable Phone made by Fujitsu at NTT Docomo booth
The phone looked like an ordinary phone but underneath was hidden it’s real beauty . The phone was equipped with
Dual Sliders one Full QWERTY to slide down and one side Slide for Keypad only
If that does not caught your attention , a little pressure applied on the main phone and the keyboard and the phone splits in two pieces with bottom part containing the Dual keyboard with self contained battery .
while the top part consisted of phone with touch screen , 12 .2 MP Camera and dedicated battery
The purpose of the splitting phone was to use the bottom keyboard part as Bluetooth Handset ( not headset) and surf the contacts or web on the top part while on call .
Wait there is more , it’s Japan so just a split and use won’t suffice for them and they even have a dedicated projector module to be attached to the screen part to project the screen and movies ( The projector is handy only in emergencies or for fun , don’t expect to run your full fledge power point off it )
The other phone specs contains
- W-CDMA GSM
- 600 HRs Standby on 3G / W-CDMA and 400 HRS on GSM
- 300 Min / 330 min Talk Time
- 12.2 MP CMOS Camera with AF
- 173 G weight
- 114 X 51 x 20.4 mm dimensions

Like all cool Japanese gadgets , the phone is meant only to be used in Nippon but with GSM could be used abroad , but alas the we can only dream about it
Nokia , Samsung , LG , Sony , Apple , HTC learn something from Japan it’s not the Candybars , Sliders or Touch Screen only all the time , think outside the box ,
Now this is the phone I would love to have with me what about you .
