To make the most of the blessings of this month , Nokia has again introduced their Nokia Ramadan Suite of Applications , however unlike last year when every S60v3  phone could benefit from them , Nokia has limited the phones that can avail these applications to

The Holy Quran -  Where you can read , search any Surah or word , Bookmark your last position , Listen to the Recitations and even to remember any Surah can put it in repeat mode

Prayer Timings : a very handy tool for those travelling or in need of correct Prayer timings as per their location .  The applications makes use of GPS where available to pinpoint QIbla and update NAmaz timings or where GPS not available , NAmaz Timings can be set as per location and QIbla can be located by pointing the onscreen compass towards North .  The application for Asr Rimings use different settings from Al-Azhar Settings to Karachi University settings and also offers a  number of Adhan options from Makkah , Medina and Egypt . You can also set the phone to go into Silent mode or any predetmined mode during Namaz timings so you may not get disturbed

Hadeeth :   covering the saying of Prophet Mohammad PBUH -  and has the following books , Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Riyad us-Saliheen, Holy Hadeeths and Arba’in An Nawawi -  The only drawback it’s in Arabic -  Nokia should have an English version available for non-Arabic Users

Zakat Calculator -  Every well to do Muslim is bound to pay 2.5 % of their wealth to the poor as Zakat and Nokia makes it easier or them to calculate the amount , I haven’t had the chance to use it as yet , will write about it later

Mozakkar or Azkar is the supplications covering the whole day with recitations and can be shared through SMS and MMS

Cards :  Share the love of Ramadan with MMS and Nokia is there to help , with Cards application , you can eaily send the Ramadan ,  Eid and other occasion cards to your love ones , no need to look for cards in the market and posting them through snail mail when you have a whole load in your pocket

Hajj and Umrah :  not a Ramadan application but people do go for Umrah in Ramadan -  it covers the Holiest Sites for Muslims in multimedia , and even GPS locations to places to visit when in Makkah and Medina -  a must have for those travelling for Umrah .

Last Year 2.4 million times these applications were downloaded and due to overwhelming response Nokia has re-launched the suite for 2009 , coming to commercial side , these applications had proved to be a great phone pusher with people going for the phones offering these applications during Ramadan and that’s the reason , the applications available through OVI Store only are device specific .
