Samsung Galaxy S- Taking over Nokia and iPhone

Samsung is gradually working towards becoming the best in mobile business , a company with roots in electronics , they had a bumpy mobile start but are proving to be a worthy contender for Nokia and Apple alike . At one end it is working on it’s own OS – Bada-  and on the other coming out with devices on existing OS which put others to shame

Announced at CTIA , the Samsung Galaxy S is taking another jibe at it’s competitors ,  featuring

  • Android OS 2.1
  • 4 inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED touchscreen mDNIe ( same tech they use in their TV)  – with better brightness and anti-glare than AMLOED
  • Capable of taking 720p  HD video at 30fps , with support for DivX HD , MKV and FLV
  • Access to Video Service (  Samsung already has one in UK) to stream movies directly to ohone
  • E-Book reader which had been all the rage lately
  • 1 GHZ Processor
  • Graphic capabilities rendering 3D GPS mapping
  • and thinner -  yes at only 0.39 inches
  • Customized Samsung UI (  no Touch Wiz though) with focus on live messaging updates and news
  • Support for 2.5 and 3G networks
  • Augmented Reality with Layar Reality Browser
  • 5 Mega Pixel Camera with multi shoot options
  • Bluetooth 3.0 
  • WiFi b/g/n
  • 8GB ad 16Gb Internal Memory with 32GB External MicroSD support
  • Size : 64.2 x 122.4 x 9.9mm
  • Weight – 118 g
  • Battery -  1500 mAH

Expect it to launch later this year with atleast one version for the US market.
