So you want free apps for iPhone / iPod Touch and have every intention to buy the application once you find out it’s useful enough to meet your needs then the Apps Store is not the place you are looking for .
There are three main sources to download iPhone / ipod Touch application free of cost and they also works . These applications could be installed directly in the phone or on your computer and could be transferred on the iPhone through iTunes .
1) Appulous – probably the largest and most popular and easy to use site . It’s part of Hackulous network and is easy accessible through iPhone . To download the applications on your PC go to http://appulo.us/appdb/ and you are all set click on the application you want and it will open a Layer like screen with the application description , the price at App store , the available versions from old to latest and download links . click on any of the download links and copy the file on your computer .
For iPhone installation
go to Cydia
Choose Manage from the Menu
Choose Source then Edit
Enter http://cydia.hackulo.us
Let the application upgrade
Install Installous and miPatch Firmware 2.2.1 from the menu and you are all set to run
2) Mega4i - previously a paid site with tough competition from Appulous has moved to free application download through registration . Again this site can be accessed through iPhone with it’s own App . To download applications on the PC go to http://mega4i.com/ and register and you can download apps from here . For iPhone installation use the following steps

a. Start Cydia
b. Choose Manage from Menu
c. Choose Source and Edit
d. Enter http://mega4i.com/repo/
e. Choose Add Source
f. Click Done and Mega will be installed after minor installation
The only drawback with MEGA4i is it only allows one application download in 24 hours period
3) IGUI.RU probably the most updated cracked iphone application site but it’s in Russian . again the titles of every App is given in English and the installation is simple
a. Click on the Application link given below the application description and it will take you to a new page
b. Click on the ipa file name in the end of the post It will take you to a download page asking for visual confirmation code enter the number and click on green button
c. Enter the code and another page will open
d. Uncheck the box , it will else install a toolbar and click on the application download link and save file
I prefer downloading application on the PC and then installing via Itunes as it keeps the applications in iTunes Sync profile else itunes has the tendency to delete the application it does not find in it’s download profile .
For those who have downloaded applications on their iPhone can copy the applications to their PC through SSH ( will write the next post about it ) and copy them in My documents / My Music / itunes / Applications directory and do double click on them to include them in iTunes Sync .
